The Alapaha Blueberry is a rabbiteye variety prized for its early-season harvest, high yields, and excellent flavor. Its firm, medium-sized berries have a sweet-tart taste perfect for fresh eating, baking, or preserves. In spring, the bush is covered in white to pale pink blooms that attract pollinators, followed by abundant berries in early summer. The Alapaha is a vigorous, upright grower that thrives in USDA Hardiness Zones 7–9, reaching 6–8 feet tall with a 4–6 foot spread. For best results, plant in acidic, well-drained soil in full sun, and pair with another rabbiteye variety for maximum fruit production.
